Hiking to Big Horn Mine

A few days ago, Chris and I hiked up to the abandoned ruins of Big Horn Mine. The trailhead began at the Vincent Gulch Divide parking lot, off the CA-2 highway.

Ben Overturff Trail

A few weeks back, I had planned another hike with my aunt. When we did the Monrovia Canyon Hike back in May, we were informed by the ranger that there was another trailhead nearby, which wasn’t as busy as the waterfall hike.

Stough Canyon Fall Hike

Saturday’s adventure: first time hiking during the fall season, and grabbing some cheap breakfast at IKEA! Worth waking up early for!

First Time at JT

Due to a lack of activity in my life, I’ve decided to a flashback post where I talk about my first visit to Joshua Tree National Park!

Hiking in the Giant Forest

This past weekend, my family went out of town to Kingsburg, CA. Kingsburg is a tiny Swedish city just an hour away from our main purpose – Sequoia National Park.

The View at Stough Canyon

In the afternoon, I went on a quick afternoon hike with my aunt at her beloved Stough Canyon Nature Park Trail. The weather has been rather gloomy the past few days here in Los Angeles, so this was a fairly pleasant hike.

Memorial Day Hike

For ages, my aunt and I have been planning to go hiking. When I say ages, I mean, ageeeeees. We finally went today on Memorial Day since we didn’t have to work.

On top of the world

Before heading out, Chris and I hiked to the top of Keys View. It’s one of JT’s more popular destinations and boasts a great view of the Coachella Valley and Salton Sea.

Explorin’ Joshua Tree

After years of falling in love with the National Park system, I caved in and bought an annual pass! This means that for $80/year, I get to step inside the country’s most magical places. First line of business – Joshua Tree National Park.
