Big Baldy Trail

Last March, my coworkers (Jamie, Sam & Fred) & I drove up to Sequoia National Park to hike Big Baldy when the trails finally reopened. It was the very first hike of the year and season, and unfortunately the last for the time being as coronavirus precautions were soon established.

We met up at Fred’s house early in the morning and it was a two-hour drive to the trailhead. Once we got to the top, we relaxed and enjoyed the view before heading back down. We got lost several times since the trail was still covered in snow and while it was fun, it was also scary – especially after sliding knee-deep into the snow and eventually into the unknown. I’m headed for another hike this week, so keep a look out!

Oooh! Always love reading about your hiking adventures! I can’t believe how much has closed down because of the virus. The outbreak is just too crazy. It is so cool that you live close to them- you’re closer to nature than any of us. Glad you had a great time. Love the pictures! Keep it 100, Eena!

Big Baldy looks like an amazing hiking trail though the getting lost part… Heh.. heh 😂😅🙈 it’s unfortunate covid 19 had to ruin everything but it’s good you’re getting back to hiking again!

I love reading about your hikes. Those views are incredible!! It looks like such a beautiful hiking route. All of your photos are amazing. Getting lost is sometimes the most fun part I think, as long as you’re not too lost, obviously… I’m glad you had fun before your lockdown measures were implemented x
