Catching Up

Hi, hello! It’s been a while since I wrote a post that actually kept you up to date with how life is going as opposed to writing catch-up posts of my life’s events – so here goes!

  • I became employee of the month for February at my hospital – my second time receiving this award in the almost two years I’ve been here. How cool is that?!
  • Caught a really bad cold at the beginning of last month. I feel better but I’m now dealing with the worst cough ever and I’m convinced it’s bronchitis. I’ll officially know on Friday since I finally got an appointment to see my doctor. American healthcare both has its pros and cons.
  • I’ll be leaving for Utah in about two weeks and I’m super stoked to finally take some time off from work.
  • Chris and I finally booked our tickets for Japan for August/September! Hopefully the coronavirus panic dies down long before then. As a nurse, there shouldn’t even be a panic regarding this virus – just practice good hand washing and stay on top of your vitamins to build your immune system!
  • Dried jackfruit bites are my current obsession.

In other news, I teamed up with Fikabröd recently to deliver something sweet into your lives! Fikabröd is a subscription box company that aims to delight and inspire! Whether you are a beginning baker or a seasoned professional, their carefully curated boxes will help fuel your creativity in the kitchen. With their boxes, you’ll be able to take your love of baking beyond the mixing bowl. I received my subscription box last week and was pleasantly surprised.

The box came with a package of Bob’s Red Mill Chia Seeds, Chefs Burn balm, Smitten Pink Bliss cupcake bath bomb, tart cherries, crystallized ginger and turmeric glow tea. So far, the bath bomb was amazing – it was a great way to relax after a long twelve-hour shift the other day from work. I was also able to add the crystallized ginger into my turmeric tea and it’s done wonders with controlling my cough and helping soothe my throat. I have yet to the other products in the box but I am so in love with Fikabröd! I initially thought they were only sending me items to bake with but I’m glad I was able to use it for everyday things. If you want to try out this amazing company, use the code EENASAURUS to get $5 off on your first subscription box!

Major congratulations on being the employee of the month for February!!~ It feels great to be rewarded from your hard work. Hope you’ll feel better from the cough. It’s that season right now!!! Hopefully the coronavirus will die down soon. It’s really screwing with world traveling for so many people @__@.

It is so cool that you got to partner with Fikabröd! The goodies you got looks pretty neat – especially with the fact that they’re more on the healthier side. Pretty cool that the bath bomb is included!! Feel well soon!!! Looking forward to your next post ;).

Oh no! I am so sorry you are dealing with bronchitis. I had it last year and it was the worst. Especially since I am a dental hygienist and I was trying so hard not to cough on patients! I had to keep eating cough drops lol and your trip sounds like so much fun! Enjoy it!

Two summers ago I had a really bad cough, I swear I had whooping cough. It was scary as you know what. I literally could not get my breath. I got sick at work and was so worried that I would have one of these coughing fits on the train. I did not luckily. And the really and part only lasted 48 hours thank God. Yes lets hope it all dies down, the panic and the virus itself.

I saw a documentary on what is going on in China in response to this and it is NUTS. They in some cases soddered the front doors of buildings to keep people inside, and now the whole color coding system where they are color coding everyone, wow.

Congrats on becoming employee of the month! I hope the coronavirus doesn’t ruin your travel plans. Personally, I’m not that concerned about the virus itself as I am about travel bans, being forced to self-quarantine, and places closing because of the virus (i.e. Ghibli Museum and Tokyo Disneyland). I’m hoping everything calms down by the time Fall rolls around since I’m also hoping to visit Asia later this year!

I can relate with you on over panicking about corona virus, it’s just sad that we really don’t know when is travelling becomes safe again. For me, I cancelled going to the Philippines this coming May and I don’t have anything planned for this year anymore.

Congrats on being employee of the month! You must be so busy now at work with all the virus cases, we have been seeing a lot on the news about how many cases there are in America and how tough it is. We don’t have as many cases here but are still trying to be careful with lots of handwashing and social distancing, we have been isolating at home and only going out for groceries for a few weeks now! Hopefully you are recovered enough to not have symptoms and be able to work and help.

Hope that you are having a good week 🙂
