Recently, I’ve been enjoying finding and supporting local businesses that I thought it was fitting to write and showcase them on the blog! It’s important to support local businesses because they tend to leave a smaller carbon footprint on the planet plus it’s a very mindful thing to do!
Ciao Cow Creamery
I discovered this local creamery when they did a collaboration with my favorite succulent shop and since then I’ve been hooked! Their gelato is handcrafted, in small batches, from scratches with only fresh ingredient daily. And they incorporate only local California ingredients. I’ve tried their blueberry cheesecake, sweet corn and honey lavender gelato and it is, without a doubt, amazing. They also offer local delivery! (website / instagram)
Quesadilla Gorilla
Chris and I had been meaning to try this quesadilla place since we moved to town last year! We only recently got to try them when they were at a Sunday Farmers Market that had another local business I wanted to try! I’ve only tried their breakfast quesadillas but the chili verde is good, especially when paired with the cilantro salsa – call me obsessed! (website / instagram)
The Nitro Bike
Find the bike! I am obsessed with this little nitro cold brew coffee bike. As of right now, they only do pop-ups where they go to various farmers markets and they taste better than Starbucks. From the name itself, they offer nitro cold brew coffee and tea AND they serve it in eco-friendly cups with a matching eco-friendly straw. They also sell their mugs, which gives you a discount on your purchase when you bring the mug. I’m obsessed with their matcha green latte and their grapefruit tea lemonade! (website / instagram)
I love that you’re sharing the different places around town! Mmmm, it is so cool that there is a gelato shop that sources from places nearby. Considering how we’re rich in agriculture, it makes sense. You save so much in transportation cost too. The quesadilla looks delicious! I know I am a sucker for it, especially with some good sauce on top. Ooooh!!! The menu items from Nitro Bike looks really neat. Pretty cool that they are eco-friendly with their containers too. Their oolong sounds delicious. Thanks for sharing all of these local finds!!! Have a great week, boo!

That quesadilla looks incredible, and I was sold just reading the iced coffee description from The Nitro Bike. It’s too bad I don’t live closer to check these places out right now, but I definitely will if we’re in the area!

I love little things like these! It’s always more exciting trying unique creations with soul than food from big brands that’s basically the same no matter where you eat it.

That iced coconut oolong definitely sounds interesting! As does the sweetcorn gelato! That’s such an unusual flavour idea to me.
I love local and one of my favourite things in my town is the number of people with “garden gate” stalls selling excess produce from their gardens and allotments (I’m especially fond of buying my eggs this way as well – truly free range with small happy flocks).
THAT QUESADILLA THOUGH LOLA
So awesome to support local businesses. Omg I love quesadillas.
