Last November and December, I was fortunate enough to see some professional sports teams play – the Sacramento Kings vs Boston Celtics and the Seattle Seahawks vs Los Angeles Rams. I grew up watching sports (especially golf and basketball) so I was pretty stoked about these events!
Boston Celtics vs. Sacramento Kings
I bought tickets on a whim to see the Celtics play after talking about Gordon Hayward with a coworker. Unfortunately, after purchasing the tickets, Gordon Hayward ended up injuring his wrist. Despite my favorite player being benched, I still had fun when it was time to see them play! Chris and I drove to Sacramento, which is approximately 3 hours from where we live. It was fun being surrounded by Celtics fan despite the game being in California. Sadly, the Celtics lost that day but we still had fun cheering them on!
Seattle Seahawks vs. Los Angeles Rams
Seeing the Seahawks and the Rams play was officially my first football game live!! I’ve grown to enjoy watching football in the past few years but never really keep up with it – still definitely guilty of watching the Super Bowl mainly for the ads but it’s a really interesting sport. My mom found some tickets for a good price so we ended up watching back in December. I don’t root for either team (mainly a Philadelphia Eagles fan by association, #FlyEaglesFly) but the atmosphere during the game was amazing. Our seats were really close to the field and we were surrounded by Seahawks fans that I ended up cheering for them as well (my mom is a huge fan). Too bad for mom because her team lost but it was still a fun night! Oh, Swae Lee did the half-time show so that was pretty cool hearing Sunflower live!
I’ve realized that I may be a bad luck charm since both teams I rooted for lost when I saw them live… also, back in 2017, I saw the Celtics play too and they lost drastically. Is this a sign? Haha, until the next sports event for me!
