If you know me, you would know that I love going to “hipster” places and I also absolutely love lobster. So it was a blessing in disguise when I came across Slapfish through my Yelp account.

Chris and I went to the Brea location. When we walked in, we were expecting it to be a lot like a previous lobster sandwich place we visited where there portions were small – so with that in mind, we ordered quite a bit.

From top to bottom, the lobster taquitos, chowder toast (these were free by checking in on Yelp!), Chris got the clobster grilled cheese with the chowder fries, and I got the lobster grinder! The portions were generally bigger than what we had expected, so that was great. The lobster taquitos were really good! You could taste the lobster and feel the Mexican kick to it.

We spent $40 in all! Compared to other places, that’s a really good price for those bottom-feeding lobsters. We found out as we were putting away our trash that they had several bottles of spices and sauces to choose from and they used “craft soda” for their beverages (we got water when we went). Rate 10/10 will definitely come back again – this may be completely biased because I love this places like this and I love lobster.
