This past week, I had family visit from Canada and we spent some time up in Lake Arrowhead. It’s a tiny unincorporated community located in the mountains of San Bernardino County. Lake Arrowhead is located about half an hour from Big Bear Lake, where Chris and I were recently. Unfortunately, Chris wasn’t able to go on this trip due to work.
Up in Lake Arrowhead, we stayed with the Arrowhead Retreats Vacation Resorts and rented out their Long Bar Lodge. It was a wonderful cabin – three stories with a pool table and a bar top. The cabin even had a wifi! The only *negative* thing I can say, which isn’t even entirely a negative, is that for such a big cabin, they were very strict and only allowed 10 guests. It makes perfect sense to me to limit the guests because cleaning up at the end for the housekeepers can be quite a chore; however, for such a big cabin, it seemed too spacious and I definitely started thinking about that film from a few years ago…
We went straight to see the lake that same day we arrived.

Lake Arrowhead is a very private lake and requires a membership to access their beach clubs. Lucky for us, the cabin we rented out came with an access pass to Tavern Bay Beach Club and Burnt Mill Beach Club. We basked in the former as it was a closer drive to the cabin than the latter.
